A new board from us starts at 60 €. A refresh starts at 41 €, full restoration at 95 € – each including return shipping within Germany. If your board is stable and the wood still has enough substance, refurbishment is often the more sensible choice.
Solid wood may age. It may carry marks. But it should not be given up before it is truly at the end.
Options
For boards that look dry or slightly dull, but do not have deep knife marks. Lightly sand the surface with 180 grit, apply our care balm, let it absorb and repeat if needed. A video and step-by-step guide are available on the care page.

For boards that are still in good shape, but show fine knife marks, dull spots or a dry surface. We sand the cutting surface, wet it to raise the fibres, sand it finely again, oil it and seal it with care balm. Deep dents, cracks or warping are not part of this package.
For boards that have really suffered, but are worth saving. We repair cracks, true up the surface, plane when needed, renew feet and seal everything cleanly again. The board comes back after a proper rest.
Not every board can be saved in a clean or economically sensible way. Cracks that run through the whole board, strong warping or hygienically problematic damage may be beyond repair – and we say that clearly.
The photo assessment before any order is mandatory. That keeps the process clear for both sides.

A refresh is for stable boards with fine knife marks, dull areas or a dry surface. Full restoration is for cracks, deep dents, loose or missing feet, or a strongly uneven surface. If in doubt, send photos first.
Yes. Return shipping within Germany is included in each fixed price. You cover the shipping to our workshop.
Yes, as long as it is a solid wood board and its condition allows a useful refurbishment. Send photos and we will take a look.
A refresh usually takes 3–5 working days after the board arrives. Full restoration usually takes 5–8 working days, depending on the work needed.
We tell you honestly after the photo assessment, before you send the board. In that case, there are no costs for you.
